Deztinee and Alexandra

Buddy:  It's fairly quiet around the blogosphere as so many pet bloggers are attending BlogPaws in Las Vegas this week.  It started the 8th and runs through the 10th.

Merci:  We hope everyone is having a good time and meeting lots of online friends in person.

Sam:  We thought of stuffing Jan in a box and mailing her to Las Vegas, but ... can you imagine the postage?  And she'd expect to eat while she's there, so we decided we better not try it.

Marcus:  Do you think we'll get a thank you card from the Post Office for not giving any of their employees a hernia trying to lift a box with Jan in it?

Buddy:  *mumbles*  Uh, guys, zip the lip.  Jan just entered the room.

Cyndi:  Okay, in other news, this is the day we felines usually publish a Mousebreath interview.

Micah:  We didn't have one last week but we have a great interview lined up for you this week.

Cameron:  When we think of a service animal, a dog usually pops into mind.  But did you know cats and small horses and other animals also make a good service animal?

Rusty:  As far as we could find, there is no organization that trains service cats.  Owners have to train their own.  It would be worth it for anyone with a need and has a fear of dogs or just prefers cats.

Percy:  Dezi and Lexi of Dezizworld blog are service cats with an interesting story. Perhaps you haven't met them yet?  They are new to blogging. You can read their story, Service Cats Dezi and Lexi - in their own words - exclusively at Mousebreath, the ezine for cats by cats.

There is no Pet Parade blog hop this week.  It will resume next week after pet bloggers have returned  from BlogPaws and resumed posting.

  12. Ha ha - I know the postman wouldn't want to try to lift M stuffed in a box. It would take a crane to do it. Postage would break our kitty wallets. Oh, great guest today - we love Dezzi.

  14. This is Trixie and Lily! We started our new blog (in case you don't recognize our ID, that is why.) We did know that all sorts of animals can be psychiatric support animals, because we do that for Mama. But we think it would be hard to train a cat to do things such as assist a blind person. Unless the blind person is very limber and can do things like jump onto tables and race up and down the stairs!
